Scholarships & Grants

Nacogdoches Junior Forum accepts applications from local non-profit organizations annually. NJF strives to invest its money in areas that currently or will in the near future provide an opportunity for members to volunteer their time in service to the community. Donations of money without provision for Forum volunteer and administrative participation are not our primary interest. Volunteer service can be requested without financial assistance. All applications for grant money will be considered based on how they directly relate to the mission of NJF:

To promote volunteerism; to develop the potential of our members and for voluntary participation in community affairs; and to deomnsrate the effectivveness of trained volunteers.

Grants for the 2020 Fiscal year are now being accepted. Please read the insructions below regarding the application process.

Your application must be postmarked on or before December 15, 2019.  Send the application, three additional copies, and any attachments, in a 9” x 12” envelope so that the application does not need to be folded. You should be notified of the status of your application in late April. The date for awarding funds will be in June 2020.

Please note the requirement that was implemented for current or past recipients. Additional information is required for current or past grant recipients (see section II.G. of application). We would like this information on your most recent grant from NJF, including funds expended, beneficiaries served, objectives met, accomplishments, etc. Also, if your project was not conducted as stated in the original application, please explain any discrepancies or changes and why they were made.

Please respond to each section in the application, being careful to answer each question with detailed information. Feel free to attach any other pertinent data that you feel would assist the Community Projects and Research Committee (CP&R) in making their recommendation to the membership of Junior Forum.
